Bloom is a file converter for iPhone and iPad. It converts your files entirely on your device. This policy explains, in plain terms, what that means and where the few exceptions are.

the short version

Your files never leave your device. Bloom has no server to send them to. Conversion happens locally using frameworks already on your phone. You can put the device in airplane mode and Bloom will work exactly as it does otherwise — which is the simplest way to verify this for yourself.

We do not ask for an account, an email address, or a name. We do not use analytics or advertising SDKs. We do not track you across apps or websites, and we do not build a profile of you.

what stays on your device

• The files you choose, and the files Bloom produces from them.
• Your conversion history, which records what was converted and when. It lives in Bloom's local storage and can be cleared at any time from Settings.
• Your preferences — theme, image quality, auto-save, haptics.
• Your daily free-conversion count, kept on-device so the limit works without us knowing anything about you.

None of this is transmitted anywhere. Deleting the app removes all of it.

the one thing that does use the network

If you buy a Bloom Pro subscription, we use RevenueCat to manage it. This is the only part of Bloom that talks to the internet, and it happens only in connection with purchases and restoring them.

For that purpose, RevenueCat receives a randomly generated anonymous identifier along with the purchase receipt Apple issues, so your subscription can be recognised across your own devices and restored if you reinstall. It does not receive your name, your email address, or anything at all about the files you convert. Payment itself is handled entirely by Apple; we never see your card details.

If you never purchase a subscription, Bloom makes no network requests at all.

permissions Bloom may ask for

• Photos. Only when you choose a photo or video to convert, or save a result back. Bloom asks for the narrowest access iOS offers and reads only what you pick.
• Files. Only for the documents you explicitly select.
• Notifications. Optional, and only used to tell you a conversion finished. You can decline and Bloom works normally.

Each of these can be changed at any time in the iOS Settings app.

children

Bloom is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. Since we collect no personal information at all, there is nothing held about a child to delete.

your rights

Regulations such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct, and delete personal data held about you. Because Bloom holds no personal data about you on any server, there is nothing for us to retrieve or erase. Everything Bloom knows lives on your device and is removed when you delete the app.

changes

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with a new date. If a future version of Bloom ever collected something it does not collect today, we would say so plainly and before it happened.
