Scanning Products

Point your device camera at a standard retail food barcode (EAN-8, EAN-13, or UPC-E). If the barcode is damaged or the product is not in our database, tap Scan Ingredients to scan the text panel directly using on-device Optical Character Recognition (OCR).

Inaccurate Product Data

Nutritional facts and ingredient formulations change frequently. If you notice a mismatch between the app verdict and the physical product label, please verify the packaging details. You can report product inaccuracies by emailing the barcode and correct label photo to our support team.

AI Guidance (Ask Lens)

Ask Lens is a product-scoped chat assistant. It can explain additives and clear up ingredient names using Google Gemini. Verdicts are computed server-side deterministically using ingredient lists and profile goals to ensure consistency.

Managing Subscriptions

ChoiceLens Pro subscriptions are billed and processed by Apple. You can modify, upgrade, or cancel your auto-renewable subscription at any time by opening the App Store app, tapping your Profile picture in the top right, and selecting Subscriptions.

Restore Purchases

If you reinstalled the App or switched devices, you can restore your active Pro entitlement. Go to Profile > Account inside the App and tap Restore Purchases. This queries Apple and syncs your purchase state securely with our backend.

Data Deletion

To completely delete your scan history, saved items, and personalized goals, open the App and navigate to Profile > Account, then tap Delete Account. This permanently purges all your stored database rows associated with your user ID.
